Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of frequently asked questions. Click on a question to reveal the answer.
Question.
Will I be entitled to compensation?
Answer.
You are entitled to compensation if you have been injured in an accident in the last 3 years for which someone else was at fault. The exception to the three year limit is if you were a child at the time of the accident. If you were a child time runs from the age you became an adult. To succeed in a compensation claim you must prove someone else was negligent and was at fault.
Question.
What can I claim for?
Answer.
You are entitled to claim for any losses or costs you have incurred as a result of the accident. You can claim compensation for any pain and injury, loss of income, other losses, the damage to your vehicle, a replacement vehicle whilst yours if off the road, physiotherapy and treatments etc.
Question.
Are you Specialists in dealing with Accident Claims?
Answer.
We are a unique Specialist Road Traffic Accident Service which is a one stop shop for all your needs related to a Road Traffic Accident or Accident at Work. We do no other area of work and are recognized throughout the industry as specialist advisors. We are members of the Law Society, Personal Injury Panel, Motor Accident Solicitors Society and Accident Management Association.
Question.
Do you Deal with other areas of Law?
Answer.
No.
Question.
How quickly will you deal with my Claim?
Answer.
Very quickly – if there is a dispute on liability or on the amount of compensation you receive your case may be delayed as a result of a need to issue court proceedings. This is rare. On average we recover compensation for our clients in one third of the time quoted as the national average.
Question.
How much Compensation will I receive?
Answer.
Every personal injury is different. The amount of compensation depends on the medical report and what the Medic believes will be the length of time it takes for you to recover. Once we have the medical report we can value it quickly and ensure that you get the right level of compensation for your injuries. The levels of compensation are set by previous Court decisions.
Question.
Do I have to pay any Costs?
Answer.
No – providing you co-operate and comply with the agreement. As we operate under a no win no fee agreement you are guaranteed to keep all of your compensation as we recover our costs from the other driver’s insurer.
Question.
Do I have to come to your Offices?
Answer.
No. As we have the administration of your case set to be very straightforward you do not need to visit the office. We can keep you updated via your chosen form of communication i.e. emails/texts etc. You can visit your file 24/7 to see the progress as it occurs.
Question.
Will I need to visit a Medic?
Answer.
Yes – this is usually a brief appointment with a specialist who will advise on any treatment you need and indicate to us how long he thinks it will take for you to recover.
Question.
Will I be referred for physiotherapy immediately if I need it?
Answer.
Yes. Most companies and Solicitors do not refer you for physiotherapy until after the medical examination which can be 3 or 4 months after the accident. We take the view that you need to be referred immediately so that you recover from the worst of your injuries quickly.
Question.
Will I have lots of paperwork to deal with?
Answer.
No – paperwork is kept very simple and our No Win No Fee agreement is available on line at the click of a button if you prefer to operate that way. The claims process is kept simple and straightforward and automatic updates come to you on a regular basis.
Question.
