'Don't Get Mugged'

The Law Society includes the Solicitors Regulation Authority and their prime objective is to help, protect and promote solicitors across England and Wales.

The latest campaign is called ‘Don’t Get Mugged’ and promotes the benefits to motorists of seeking the advice of a solicitor prior to settling for an insurer offer.

There are 3 million injuries due to all manner of accidents each year and if someone or something else is at fault, the victim has a right to compensation. The Law Society explains: “If you’ve had an accident or injury, think twice before you say ‘yes’ to the first compensation payment you’re offered”.

They go on to say “Accident victims who turn down an insurer’s initial offer and take legal advice from a solicitor get on average 2-3 times more compensation” (Source: the Financial Services Authority)
