Number of People Killed or Seriously Injured on GB Roads Rises
Statistics released by the Department for Transport show a 4% increase in the number of people killed or seriously injured on British roads.
In total, 27,820 cases of this nature were reported to police in the year ending June 2019, a rise on the previous year which contained 26,724.
Those killed or seriously injured (KSI) in a car rose 6% to 10,490, with pedestrians also seeing a rise in KSI’s to 6,290. For a more detailed breakdown of the statistics, click here to find out more directly from the Department for Transport statistical release (dated November 28th).
